Landscape Diorama
Whilst shooting my first independent short at University I made a set/diorama based upon lines of a poem by Mary Oliver. The diorama needed to portray four separate natural landscapes and be one continuous form so that I would be able to move the camera along the length of it creating seamless transitions into different terrains. I had lots of fun making this and also learnt a lot about basic model making. I was able to teach myself a wide variety of making skills and also used a lot of problem solving to bring to life my concept whilst keeping to a very small budget. I’m really happy with how my first diorama went and keen to learn more techniques in the future.
