Whilst at University I experimented with puppet making in order to create the main character and focus of my two personal stop motion short films. Due to having limited resources and materials as well as taking on all roles within the stop motion animation process alone I used the same main character (for the most part) for both shorts. To create some differentation I adjusted some facial details and created a new hairstyle for my puppet as well as subtle changes to her outfit. I also created some animal armatures over both projects. It was really interesting to experiment with different methods of making in order to allow for the movement and manipulation of wings for my Geese armatures or fins and tails for my fish.
