Mini Fish Puppets

I made some mini animatable fish puppets for my final year film. These took a considerable amount of trial and error to figure out how best to fabricate. I ended up using a very basic small wire skeleton armature and padding them out with a small amount of sponge before wrapping each with embroidery thread. This worked very well and I was able to play around with a few different patterns and shapes. These allowed me to have basic minimal movement needed to give the illusion of swimming/flapping about after being caught.
